Acuity is pleased to announce a new “Sessions” feature for our Acuity Laser Touch Panel Display. The Touch Panel is our stand-alone industrial PC interface for use with Acuity laser distance sensors. Using serial communications, this smart terminal easily calculates thickness and other dimensions without the need for a computer or software programming.
Our new Sessions allows the Touch Panel to detect when an object enters the sensor’s range and displays the average, maximum, minimum, and mode of the measurements after it passes by. As the name “Sessions” implies, this can be done with as many sequences as you need to get your highly accurate measurement.
